Leadership profiles

Engineering, analytics, finance, technology, and project-delivery leadership for practical industrial tools and AI-enabled workflows.

Fasih Fawad, M.Eng., P.Eng., PMP

Fasih Fawad is an engineering, project controls, and advanced analytics professional with a foundation in petroleum systems, process systems engineering, and capital project delivery. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum Systems Engineering with a minor in Computer Science, a Master’s degree in Process Systems Engineering, and the P.Eng. and PMP designations.

Fasih brings more than six years of technical oil and gas experience, including reservoir engineering, production engineering, hydraulic fracturing, cementing, and direct carbon-capture technology experience. He also brings twelve years of planning and controls management across oil refining, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and large-scale data-center projects.

His project background includes work connected to Pharmachem Bahamas, Gilead, Genentech, Eli Lilly, and confidential large-scale technology data-center programs. This combination of field engineering, process systems, project controls, regulated-project experience, and digital systems provides a practical foundation for building credible engineering models and tools.

At PQEA, Fasih leads carbon-capture R&D, process modeling, engineering analytics, project-controls solutions, scheduling systems, reporting automation, and practical prototype development.

Sabih Fawad, M.S. CS, CPA, PMP

Sabih Fawad is an accounting, technology, and project-management professional with experience across government and private-sector environments. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, a Master’s degree in Computer Science, and the CPA and PMP designations.

Sabih brings a strong blend of financial, analytical, technical, and operational experience. His background includes work with the Government of Saskatchewan and previous private-sector roles, providing a balanced understanding of public-sector governance, business operations, reporting, compliance, systems, and project delivery.

With expertise across accounting, computer science, project management, and business-process improvement, Sabih supports AI-enabled workflows, analytics models, reporting systems, and practical digital tools that improve clarity, reduce repetitive work, and make better use of organizational data.

At PQEA, Sabih contributes to business analytics, financial systems, AI-assisted reporting, process automation, project-delivery support, and technology-enabled operational improvement.

Why PQEA exists

Important industrial and regulated decisions are often made with fragmented data, opaque assumptions, manual workflows, and tools that are difficult to reproduce.

Carbon capture needs credible early models

Industrial capture decisions must connect emissions data, process behavior, chemistry and technology assumptions, equipment capacity, utilities, operating conditions, and uncertainty. PQEA is developing reusable models that make those connections visible.

Industrial decisions need transparent analysis

Mass and energy balances, scenario studies, and sensitivity analysis help teams compare options before significant engineering effort or capital is committed.

Regulated workflows need traceability

Pharmaceutical C&Q and other controlled environments require evidence organization, data integrity, status visibility, and disciplined handover—not automation without accountability.

Carbon capture is central to why PQEA exists

Carbon capture and industrial emissions reduction form a core part of the company’s long-term R&D and product roadmap. The objective is to develop and retain engineering models, computational workflows, and software tooling that can support repeated industrial applications—not simply produce one-time advisory reports.

Engineering foundation and Saskatchewan capability

The company’s technical direction is grounded in process systems, industrial project delivery, and the opportunity to build durable regional capability.

Engineering foundation

PQEA’s carbon-capture work draws on petroleum systems engineering, production and reservoir engineering, industrial process systems, advanced analytics, and software development. This background supports technically rigorous modeling of capture-process behavior, energy penalties, utility requirements, and integration trade-offs.

Building Saskatchewan capability

PQEA is based in Regina and intends to develop durable carbon-management capability within Saskatchewan. The province’s industrial base, operating carbon-capture experience, testing and research infrastructure, and emissions-reduction initiatives create a meaningful environment for model development and validation.

How we keep the work credible

Model maturity, evidence, and limitations are made visible at each stage.

Define the decision

Set the system boundary, project stage, data requirements, and appropriate level of accuracy.

Build transparently

Document equations, assumptions, sources, data transformations, limitations, and version history.

Validate appropriately

Use engineering relationships, benchmark cases, available operating information, and partner data where suitable.

Productize carefully

Convert proven logic into reusable workflows and software without hiding the engineering basis.

Based in Saskatchewan, built for broader industrial use

PQEA operates from Regina and supports local and remote collaborations. We are particularly interested in Saskatchewan carbon-capture use cases, model validation, industrial partnerships, and research programs that can help convert transparent engineering methods into reusable software.
